Friends of the Harborfields Public Library

Friends of the Harborfields Public Library 2019 Flea Market Application

WHO ARE THE FRIENDS?

The Friends of the Harborfields Public Library is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1970. They are a group of dedicated volunteers who work in cooperation with Library Staff and whose main objective is to provide additional funding for special programs and items to further enhance our wonderful Library. The Friends meet on a monthly basis. Meeting dates are announced in the Library Newsletter

Membership fees, fund-raising events and the proceeds from the Friends' Little Book Shop, help them to sponsor various programs at the Library. The Sunday Concert Series, Adult, Young Adult and Children's Summer Reading Programs, bus trips to cultural events and other special programs throughout the year all receive additional funding from the Friends.

Over the years the Friends have donated many items to the Library for the whole community to enjoy. The Grand Piano, our Community Room Audio Visual System, the beautiful mural that welcomes you into the Children's Room - and most recently the new Digital Display System for the lobby and meeting room area are all examples of Friends' donations.

Your membership in the Friends entitles you to receive preference for registration on our very popular bus trips and for special Friends' sponsored events. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping the Harborfields Public Library!
